This problem occurs if you already have an iThenticate account and sign up for a second one with the same e-mail address. The second account will not be linked to the University's iThenticate license, and thus will be ineligible for free submissions.

Users are encouraged to use the "Forgot password" link should they be unsure if they have previously registered for an account.

If a second account has already been created, assistance from iThenticate technical support is needed. Please contact the eLearning Support Team ( for help.
