Yes, BU current students and staff need to create a personal New York Times account via the Library on campus. It allows you full access to www.nytimes.com and its related apps on desktop and mobile devices.
A first-time activation is needed in order to create your personal account for access, which will be reset every 364 days.
Step 1: Go to “ New York Times” catalogue record in OneSearch (connecting university internet network : BU-Standard / BU-Advanced)
https://library.hkbu.edu.hk/record/?ID=alma991006204079703409&T=PC
Step 2 : Under View Online, click “ The New York times “ link
Step 3 :
Select “HKBU Students/ Staff” and login with BU email address and password
Step 4 : Click " Create Account" and use your BU email address for registration
The Library also subscribes to the database The New York Times with Index that allows you to do more precise searching of the newspaper for focused and targeted results.
