Q. Why couldn’t I place an order for a held book, which is already ready for pick up at the Library?

Order requests will NOT be accepted under any of the following circumstances:

a) The item is held for pick up at the Chinese Medicine Library / Shek Mun Campus Library (held book delivery service is not provided at branch libraries).

b) Oversize books cannot be added to an order.

c) There cannot be more than 8 books in an order.

d) The expiry date of your borrower record is less than 14 days before the order date.

e) Your library privileges are suspended. The suspension might be either due to charges accrued to your borrower record, which has exceeded the fine ceiling (HKD150) or due to other circumstances deemed appropriate by the Library.
