If you returned the items using the book drop, there is a time delay between the time you place the item in the book drop and the update of the record in your Library account. This is due to logistical reasons as the Library will only empty book drops at certain times of the day.
Under normal circumstances (except for prolonged public holidays or special service arrangements), returns made via book drops will be reflected in your borrower record within 1–2 working days. You are encouraged to check your borrower record online after returning materials via the book drop service and report any discrepancies to the Library as soon as possible.
If it has been three or more working days since you returned your item via book drop, or if you returned your items in person at the Library, please contact the item's home library as soon as possible:

- Chinese Medicine Library: libcm@hkbu.edu.hk, 3411-2714
- Shek Mun Campus Library: libsmc@hkbu.edu.hk, 3411-3172
