Digital Rights Management, or more commonly known as the DRM, controls access to copyrighted contents in digital formats, such as e-books.

One common way to enforce DRM is through the Adobe Digital Edition Account (ADE), which protects the digital rights of the e-books, so they cannot be copied or reproduced in any way.
